Evaluation services
Cordis Bright offers project and programme evaluations, audits and reviews of adults'
and children's services, in the statutory and independent sectors.
The purpose of evaluations and reviews is to find out whether a service:
- Makes a positive difference to its target client group
- Represents good value for money
An audit will check for evidence of process. Our clients have found this service
particularly useful in advance of inspections.
Why evaluate, review or audit?
Organisations may be prompted to evaluate their services for all sorts of reasons,
e.g.
- A desire to improve quality and value for money
- The need to audit services before and after introducing new measures or processes
- The need to assure standards before an inspection or following a complaint or critical
incident
- Risk management
- Fulfilment of statutory obligations
- Receipt of evaluation grants from bodies such as DCSF, DoH, Home Office or DCLG
How we evaluate, review and audit
Cordis Bright has many different methodologies for carrying out evaluations, reviews
and audits. We work collaboratively with our clients and provide a tailored service,
using methods most suited to individual circumstances. These include
Primary research
- Direct consultation with service users, staff and stakeholders, using participatory
approaches such as community surveys
- Qualitative methods such as face to face interviews, focus groups, etc.
- Quantitative approaches such as telephone, web and postal surveys
- Reviews of policy and procedures
- File and records audits
- Observations of practice
Secondary research
- Comparison of clients' performance data with national performance information, including
cost analysis
- Literature searches to examine best practice
Tailored reports and practical recommendations
Cordis Bright will present your evaluation and review results in a way that suits
you. Our aim is always to answer the questions you ask, not to provide an off-the-peg
solution.
We help you to get the most value out of your evaluation by drawing out operational
and strategic recommendations that are both informed and practical.
