Yvette has considerable knowledge in the fields of private and public law regarding children and young people. She is currently involved in working with a number of Youth Offending Teams, undertaking both pre- and post-inspection work including preparation for Joint Area Reviews. Other work has involved focusing on change management, risk assessments and performance management including developing evidence-based practice.
Before joining Cordis Bright Yvette worked as an inspector for the Commission for Social Care Inspection, and formerly with the Social Services Inspectorate. She has had experience of youth offending, children's services, residential care including secure estate and the voluntary sector inspections. During her time with the Inspectorate she was seconded to MCSI (Magistrate Court Service Inspectorate) inspecting CAFCASS and latterly to HMIP inspecting YOTs.
Yvette is a registered social worker. She has worked for 15 years with children and families Local Authority Social Services Department working within residential, outreach support, fostering duty, children and families duty access team, both as a practitioner and management levels.
