Jyoti has in-depth knowledge of the youth justice sector. She has worked within a Youth Offending Team (YOT) setting as an Operational Manager and has experience of working in the Youth Court, developing work around victims and restorative justice, parenting work, group work, resettlement, education/ employment strategy, reporting writing, staff development, supervision and risk assessment.
She is currently involved in working with a number of Children's Services Departments in preparation for Inspection work with the YOT and for the Joint Area Reviews. Her work has included coaching managers and staff in case work auditing and working with teams to increase performance in risk and safeguarding. Jyoti has also developed training for practitioners on good practice within diversity, assessment, risk of serious harm and case management.
Previously Jyoti has worked for Westminster YOT and Kensington and Chelsea YOT. She is a qualified social worker with 8 years experience and is registered with the General Social Work Council. She has experience of developing practice skills and training staff in the areas of looked after children and offending, parenting teenagers for foster carers and assessment skills. Jyoti has a first degree from the University of Warwick and a Masters in Social Work from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
