Shruti is a Researcher at Cordis Bright working across the spectrum of Children's and Adults' Services. She has worked in a number of sectors and projects she is/has been working on include: several Childcare Sufficiency Assessments; three major evaluations linked to older people's well-being; audit work at numerous Youth Offending Teams; and a project researching young people's disengagement from education and training. She has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research including the design of qualitative research tools, leading focus group, telephone and face-to-face interview discussions, qualitative analysis, research ethics and survey design and analysis.

Before joining Cordis Bright, Shruti was the lead researcher on a qualitative PCT-funded project at City University exploring the health needs of unaccompanied asylum-seekers in Hackney. As part of this project she carried out interviews and focus groups with young asylum seekers and their professionals as well as being responsible for the day-to-day running of the project. Prior to this she worked at the Child Health Research & Policy Unit at City University. She has presented project findings and facilitated workshops at local and national conferences and has also carried out some post-graduate teaching in the area of research ethics with young people.   

Shruti has interned at the Institute for Public Policy Research and has carried out evaluative work for London Borough of Newham, where she also worked on their Summer Schools and Parental Involvement programmes. Shruti has a Master's degree with distinction from the Institute of Education and an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford.
