Profile

Steve has built up a portfolio of projects and experience across adults' and children's services. He specialises in conducting research, analysis and evaluation. Recently, he has worked on evaluating several Partnerships for Older People Projects (POPPs), Sure Start Children's Centres and a family support intervention. He has conducted research into young people not in employment, education and training, research into carers' needs on behalf of a local authority, and has worked on a special study on behalf of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).

Steve has a BA(Hons) from Oxford and an MPhil and PhD in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, where he was also an Economic and Social Research Council Post-Doctoral Fellow. Steve's book Schools and the Problem of Crime (Willan, 2006) investigates why young people offend.
