Nurgul has a BA in History from the University of Oxford. As part of her undergraduate thesis research, Nurgul designed and organised interviews with people from an ethnic minority group. She conducted desk-based research and analysed secondary literature to evaluate the impact of the changes to the legal system on the customs and traditions of the ethnic minority group. This research utilised primary and secondary sources.
Nurgul has undertaken Researcher roles for multiple organisations, utilising qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide recommendations for various stakeholders. Also, her role as a director of a widening participation project at university has strengthened Nurgul’s skills in building strong working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
