This month, we’re excited to share two major milestones that reflect our continued commitment to evidence-informed change in children, young people and families services.
First, our evaluation protocol for the Changemakers programme has been published. Developed in collaboration with Foundations – the What Works Centre for Children & Families, the Department for Education, and the Youth Endowment Fund, the programme empowers local authorities to embed evidence-based interventions (EBIs) within their systems. Our evaluation investigates the real-world conditions that help these EBIs take root and thrive.
We are also pleased to announce the release of our final evaluation report of the Bambu programme, commissioned by London’s Violence Reduction Unit and delivered by Rise Mutual CIC and Waythrough. Bambu offered trauma-informed, one-to-one early intervention for young people affected by domestic abuse across eight London boroughs. The evaluation found that Bambu helped improve young people’s emotional wellbeing, sense of safety, and school engagement. It also identified strong practice in co-production and flexible, relationship-centred delivery. Our report highlights the power of personalised support, safe and nurturing spaces, and trusted relationships in achieving meaningful change.
