A number of reports featured in this month’s Pulse focus on the increase in vulnerabilities of children, young people and families as a result of the pandemic, lockdowns, restricted school openings and reduction in public service provision.
Cordis Bright have published two reports recently that examine this and, in particular, the success of services to respond in this challenging environment. The two evaluations we have produced for Newham, both came out of an original evaluation of the Department for Education Children's Social Care Innovation Fund project Newham NewDAy. The evaluations show promising interventions to support children and families impacted by, or at risk, of domestic abuse, child criminal exploitation and child sexual exploitation, and for children on the edge of care.
