This month has seen the publication of two reports by Cordis Bright on initiatives which aim to contribute to better services, systems, outcomes and experiences for people experiencing multiple disadvantage. These two initiatives approach a similar challenge from very different angles.
The first is a programme evaluation for the Youth Futures Foundation of the Amber programme, which is an example of collaboration between a What Works Centre and a service provider to contribute to the evidence base for effective support by exploring the theory, implementation, promise and future evaluability of a specific programme.
The second is a review for the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) team of the value and impact of their support to local areas. This is an example of expert advice, guidance and support by a voluntary sector coalition to local areas to help them to plan for and deliver improved services and systems for and with people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
