Healthy Communities Together (HCT) is a programme delivered in partnership between The National Lottery Community Fund and The King’s Fund. HCT aims to bring together the VCSE sector, the NHS and local authorities to improve health and wellbeing in five sites across the UK.
Cordis Bright have been working with The National Lottery Community Fund, The King’s Fund and the five sites since January 2023 to evaluate this programme. We are very pleased to now share our interim report from the first year of the evaluation.
This report reveals:
- Cross-sector partnerships are already showing positive results, enhancing mutual understanding and driving innovation.
- HCT’s influence is expanding, with relational approaches to partnership working gaining traction, and generating a deeper understanding of health and wellbeing challenges, including those faced by marginalised communities.
- Tailored support from The National Lottery Community Fund and The King’s Fund has been significant in enabling sustainable and effective partnerships.
- Work will continue to explore innovative approaches to partnership working that balance flexibility with strategic objectives and strengthening efforts to sustain and scale the impact of partnerships beyond the funding period.
As we progress with our second-year evaluation fieldwork, we will be continuing to explore what enables and limits effective cross-sector partnership working, as well as what new approaches to cross-sector partnership working can do.
