Celebrating Neurodiversity at Cordis Bright

Our plans for the month

Our Cordis Bright logo will look slightly different between 18th March and 18th April… We are excited to share that we are observing Neurodiversity Celebration Week, which runs from 18th March to 24th March. We will then be extending the observation internally, marking a ‘Neurodiversity Celebration Month’ which will run until 18th April 2024.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative which aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived. It aims to do this by challenging stereotypes about neurological differences, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower neurodivergent individuals.

At Cordis Bright, we plan to use Neurodiversity Celebration Month as an opportunity to celebrate the strengths associated with neurodiversity and the advantages that come from having a neurodiverse workforce. We’ll be conducting a range of activities: keep an eye out this week for a blog post about supporting autistic people into employment, and a Pulse Special which provides an updated synthesis of recent research and reports into neurodiversity in women and girls. We’ll also be engaging with external webinars, hosting internal knowledge exchanges on neurodiversity, and holding a social and fundraising event for a local VCS organisation.

We plan to use the month as a springboard for ongoing learning and improvement. As part of this, we are committed to ensuring that Cordis Bright is an accessible and inclusive place to work, and to work with our clients to ensure that we produce research and evaluation that is inclusive, accessible and improves outcomes for neurodivergent people.

If you have any thoughts or questions about this observance or on our research and evaluation on the topic of neurodiversity, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Tom Noon at tomnoon@cordisbright.co.uk for more information.
