This fourth update shows the results of our research to understand how many younger adults (i.e. those aged under 65) experience delayed transfers of care. Anecdotally, clients tell us that this group, although fewer in number, can contribute quite significantly to the challenge of hospital discharge. As this article shows, we found it hard to uncover clear facts, but have gathered some data which begins to demonstrate the scale of the issue.
