This is the year 1 evaluation of a longitudinal evaluation of the Continuing Professional Education and Learning Framework for social workers. It includes a baseline analysis of social workers' skills, experience and confidence in different aspects of practice. It compares this to views of managers. Future reports will examine the 'distance travelled' by social workers as they progress through the Framework.
