Joshua has a First Class degree in Politics from Exeter University and an MSc in Social Policy from the London School of Economics. He has experience working on research and evaluation projects for a range of public and third sector organisations. Prior to joining Cordis Bright he worked in public affairs, delivering detailed consultations for a range of clients including local authorities, care home providers and housing associations. This role entailed working closely with local communities, government and public sector stakeholders.

Joshua’s experience includes:

  • Conducting research employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, including working with large data sets.
  • Designing, conducting and analysing interviews, focus groups, and surveys for a range of stakeholders.
  • Writing comprehensive literature and policy reviews.
  • Analysing documentary evidence and financial performance data.
  • Conducting academically robust literature reviews.

Joshua’s recent projects include:

  • Evaluations of multiple Enhanced Health in Care Homes Vanguards across the country, as part of the NHS New Care Model programme.
  • An evaluation of integrated intermediate care services across one local health board and three local authority areas in South Wales.
  • Evaluation of an intervention programme for a London council, working with children and their families to promote economic and social integration in order to mitigate risk of vulnerability to negative outcomes.
  • A review of support for looked after children with complex and escalating needs.
  • An appraisal of the care home market in the South East of England.
  • A longitudinal, multi-site evaluation of approaches to diagnosing and managing hypertension.
  • A review of local approaches to commissioning child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation services.
